Farm
Bill 2007-2008 and California
Welcome to your one-stop shop to learn more and speak
out on the Farm Bill, the major US legislation
covering food, as well as agricultural, environmental,
and rural, policy. This bill is a terrific
opportunity to help fight hunger, through stronger
food stamp, food bank, and other nutrition programs
for people in need. The Farm Bill comes up for debate
in 2007, for the first time since 2002.
The
California Association of Food Banks can help you:
SPEAK OUT:
Please call your Democratic Members of Congress to
ask them to sign-on to a House Democratic letter
urging passage of a strong, well-funded nutrition
title.
Call your
Member of Congress at 202-224-3121. See the letter
at:

Special thanks to California Representatives Lee,
Solis, and Woolsey for leading the charge!
