The Senate Ag. Appropriations Committee approved their FY 2018 Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill. The bill was approved 31-0 and funds programs that support agriculture, conservation and nutrition programs.
The bill provides $145.4 billion in discretionary and mandatory funding, $4.85 billion above the president’s budget request and $7.9 billion below the FY 2017 enacted level. It contains $20.525 billion in discretionary funding, $352 million below the FY 2017 enacted level, and included $124.9 billion in mandatory funding.
The bill includes funding for TEFAP, CSFP & Food and Nutrition programs including WIC, SNAP and the child nutrition programs. haga clic aquí to read the full committee release and additional bill highlights.

TEFAP Food: $288.750 million
CSFP: $238.120 million
TEFAP: $59.401 million
WIC: $6.35 billion
SNAP: $73.612 billion
Child Nutrition Programs: $24.243 billion
