By purchasing tickets for&nbsp; and participating in Food ACCESS 2026, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions for Food ACCESS 2026. Before you proceed to purchase tickets, we strongly recommend you go through the following terms and conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In these terms and conditions, words like \u201cholder\u201d, \u201cbearer\u201d, \u201cpurchaser\u201d and similar terms will refer to you \u2014 the person who will buy the tickets to Food ACCESS 2026. On the other hand, \u201cour\u201d\u2019, \u201cus\u201d, \u201cwe\u201d, \u201cissuer\u201d, \u201cprovider\u201d and similar terms will indicate the organizer of Food ACCESS 2026: California Association of Food Banks (CAFB).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>By opting to purchase, allocate or possess tickets to, or attend, Food ACCESS 2026, you automatically agree to our terms and conditions. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions, please do not purchase tickets or try to enter the Food ACCESS 2026 premises.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please note that California Association of Food Banks reserves the right to make changes, revisions, and amendments, or add\/remove sections from this set of terms and conditions \u2014 without any prior notifications to you. Such changes will be duly reflected on the event website, FoodAccessCA.org and will be binding on all who purchase tickets or attend.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ticket you purchase represents a revocable license for you to access Sacramento\u2019s SAFE Credit Union Convention Center on May 18, 2026 and May 19, 2026, when Food ACCESS 2026 is scheduled to be hosted. The license includes the revocable right to attend the Food ACCESS 2026. This license can be revoked at any time by the issuer at its sole discretion, without any prior notifications or compensation options. If the license is revoked, you will not be granted entry at the venue and may be required to leave.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CAFB complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act and will make reasonable accommodations, contact foodaccess@cafoodbanks.org in advance if you require assistance. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The bearer has to assume full responsibility of the Food ACCESS 2026 tickets, once received. California Association of Food Banks has no liabilities \u2014 financial, legal, or otherwise \u2014 in case the delivered tickets are stolen, lost, damaged, destroyed or rendered unusable in any other way. Tickets may be transferred until May 4, 2026. Name changes after that date are not guaranteed. To transfer a ticket, email foodaccess@cafoodbanks.org. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FoodAccessCA.org is the sole authorized source for purchasing Food ACCESS 2026 tickets. If you obtain your ticket(s) from any other source, you understand the ticket source is unauthorized and you assume the risks of those tickets turning out to be counterfeit or stolen. The issuer has the right to dishonor such stolen\/counterfeit tickets and declare them as void.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please note that Food ACCESS 2026 tickets cannot be redeemed for cash, credits, or any other benefits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>California Association of Food Banks has the right to investigate whether there has been any violation of the Food ACCESS 2026 ticketing terms and conditions. In case of any conflicts, the decision of California Association of Food Banks will be deemed final and binding (i.e., the issuer will remain the final arbiter in cases of disputes).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The event service will be deemed to have been delivered in its entirety as soon as Food ACCESS 2026 starts on May 18, 2026.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are not able to access any particular section(s) of the venue \u2014 Sacramento\u2019s SAFE Credit Union Convention Center \u2014 due to delays, governmental regulations, organizer policies, weather-related problems, emergencies, venue shutdown\/evacuation or any other reason, you will not be eligible for any refunds or future credits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you need to cancel your ticket for Food ACCESS 2026, you can email\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:foodaccess@cafoodbanks.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">foodaccess@cafoodbanks.org<\/a>\u00a0to let us know you are unable to attend.\u00a0We encourage you to transfer your ticket to another attendee or to leave your registration fee as a donation rather than cancelling for a refund. Please email\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:foodaccess@cafoodbanks.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">foodaccess@cafoodbanks.org<\/a>\u00a0with any questions.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If we are notified before 3\/1\/2026 = 100% Refund<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If we are notified before 5\/1\/2026 = 50% Refund<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If we are notified on or after 5\/2\/2026 we are unable to provide a refund\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If Food ACCESS 2026 is canceled in its entirety due to any unforeseen circumstances, California Association of Food Banks has the sole and absolute right to:<ul><li>i) reschedule the event, or<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>ii) issue a partial\/full refund, or<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>iii) not issue any refunds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that the decision of the issuer in such cases will be deemed final and binding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If Food ACCESS 2026 is canceled in its entirety due to any other factors or causes not in the control of the issuer, the issuer will offer a partial or full refund, or postpone the event, or provide a comparable \u201cmake good\u201d option. These factors may include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, casualty damage, pandemics, federal\/state\/local regulations, strikes, delays in production, and the like. Once again, the decision of California Association of Food Banks will be considered final and binding.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If Food ACCESS 2026 has to be rescheduled to other dates, you will not be eligible for any refunds. In case the event is fully canceled, the refund, if issued, will include ONLY the face value\/printed value of the ticket(s). The bearer will not, under any circumstances, be entitled to claim or receive refunds on shipping fees, processing fees, handling fees, and such other charges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Losses, if any, occurring due to foreign exchange fluctuations at the time of refunds, are to be borne by the purchaser. California Association of Food Banks cannot be, in any way, held liable for that.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After May 8, 2026, all ticket sales are deemed FINAL TRANSACTIONS. There will be no ticket returns\/exchanges\/cancellations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Food ACCESS 2026 is a &#8220;rain or shine&#8221; event. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Food ACCESS 2026 is a \u201crain or shine\u201d event. By purchasing the event tickets, you automatically confirm that you\/the attendee(s) are of the \u201cminimum age\u201d or older, at the time of buying the ticket(s). The \u201cminimum age\u201d for attending Food ACCESS 2026 is 18.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the time of entering the event venue, you are required to provide a valid identification document (ID). By presenting an ID, you confirm that all details present on it are accurate and up-to-date.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>By purchasing Food ACCESS 2026 you give your consent to California Association of Food Banks to collect certain information about yourself (name, picture, date of birth, gender identity, email address, mailing address, etc.) for verification, storage and distribution of updates and other communications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You hereby agree to forego all types of compensation or surcharge claims \u2014 full or in part \u2014 and all claims and entitlements related to use of your information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You acknowledge and agree that California Association of Food Banks will not have any responsibility for personal\/financial damages caused to you at the venue, or for any items lost\/stolen\/misplaced\/damaged personal property or for personal injury. Financial reimbursement claims on these counts will not be entertained.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the event you are injured at food ACCESS 2026, you grant to California Association of Food Banks&nbsp; the right (but CAFB shall be under no obligation) to seek&nbsp;medical treatment for you by medical professionals and to contact your named emergency contact, at the discretion of the event staff.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Food ACCESS 2026 and California Association of Food Banks follow a common \u2018zero-tolerance policy\u2019 towards discrimination, drug usage, or weapons at the venue, and towards any type of behavior\/actions that can be interpreted as lewd or obscene. If you are found in possession of prohibited items at Food ACCESS 2026 and\/or if you indulge in any objectionable action, your participation in the event will be terminated immediately. Your event ticket(s) will become void from that point on.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You acknowledge and agree that you purchase Food ACCESS 2026 tickets of your own free will. Except as required by law (e.g. for unauthorized use of your payment method), you agree not to dispute or charge back a valid ticket purchase. This clause does not waive any non-waivable statutory consumer rights. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In all cases of disputes between the ticket-bearer and the ticket-issuer, the decision of the issuer will be deemed final and binding. In case a dispute cannot be resolved, at the election of the issuer, the matter will be submitted for arbitration by &nbsp;an independent third-party arbiter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:0px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"liability\">Liability<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>By registering for and attending Food ACCESS 2026, I forever release California Association of Food Banks, any affiliated organization, and their respective directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, contractors, and representatives (collectively \u201cReleasees\u201d) from any and all actions, claims, or demands that I, my assignees, heirs, distributees, guardians, next of kin, spouse and legal representatives now have, or may have in the future, for injury, death, or property damage, related to (i) my participation in Food ACCESS 2026, (ii) the negligence or other acts, whether directly connected to Food ACCESS 2026 or not, and however caused, by any Releasee or otherwise, or (iii) the condition of the premises where these activities occur, whether or not I am then participating in the activities. In addition, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless California Association of Food Banks and the Releases from any third-party claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney&#8217;s fees) arising from my violation of these Terms or applicable law. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"conduct\">Code of Conduct<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>California Association of Food Banks works to ensure its events align with our values, particularly our value of inclusion. Inappropriate, disrespectful, or discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CAFB aims to host events that allow unbridled engagement by all attendees to address and strategize solutions to hunger and poverty, while creating a safe space for individuals who have historically been marginalized. By attending CAFB events, you agree to join us in working to create an equitable environment that allows for respectful and impassioned dialogue. You agree to refrain from inappropriate actions and statements, including but not limited to those outlined below. If you are found to be engaging in any such action or behavior at a CAFB event, you will be required to leave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Health<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CAFB keeps abreast of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), California Department of Public Health (CDPH), and local guidance to support the health, safety, and well-being of all attendees. Anyone who is not feeling well is asked to refrain from attending events or activities. We ask that all attendees follow current CDC and CDPH guidelines for exposures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Masks and COVID-19 rapid tests may be available onsite. CAFB reserves the right to update the health protocol at its events as it deems fit to protect staff and attendees, and meet public health guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Weapons<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No explosives or weapons of any kind, including firearms or knives, are permitted at CAFB events. In addition, attendees must comply with all venue rules and all applicable federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, and regulations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Harassment, Discrimination, &amp; Sexual Misconduct<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Harassment is defined as \u201caggressive pressure, insults, or intimidation\u201d and bullying is defined as \u201ccreating a harmful or humiliating environment by conduct, threats, intimidation, or abuse.\u201d Harassment and bullying are inappropriate behaviors that violate human dignity, CAFB\u2019s core values, and basic decency and are not permitted at CAFB events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Discrimination is defined as \u201cprejudiced or prejudicial outlook, action, or treatment.\u201d No attendee will be discriminated against based on age, sex, race, religious creed, sexual orientation, gender or gender identity, disability, ethnic or national origin. No discriminatory actions or language will be tolerated at CAFB events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sexual harassment is defined as \u201cunwelcome verbal or physical behavior of a sexual nature\u201d and is not tolerated and considered an extremely serious violation of CAFB\u2019s code of conduct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Drugs &amp; Alcohol<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs can pose a safety risk to oneself and others. Possessing or distributing unlawful or controlled substances (as defined by Section 202 of the Controlled Substance Act) is prohibited at CAFB events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While we acknowledge that alcohol is sometimes served at CAFB events, we expect responsible consumption; intoxication is not permitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"media\">Media &amp; Materials Release<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Photo \/ Audio \/ Video Release<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>By registering for and\/or attending Food ACCESS 2026 and\/or its affiliated events, you give your perpetual permission and license to use your name, likeness, image, voice, and\/or appearance as such may be embodied in any pictures, photos, video recordings, audiotapes, digital images, and the like, taken or made by or on behalf of California Association of Food Banks (CAFB). You agree that California Association of Food Banks has complete ownership of such pictures, etc., including the entire copyright and the right to assign copyright, and may use them for any purpose consistent with California Association of Food Banks\u2019 mission. These uses include, but are not limited to, illustrations, bulletins, exhibitions, videotapes, reprints, reproductions, publications, advertisements, and any promotional or educational materials in any medium now known or later developed, including the Internet. You acknowledge and agree that you will not receive any compensation for the use of such pictures, etc., and hereby release California Association of Food Banks and its agents and assigns from any and all claims which arise out of or are in any way connected with such use. You agree to hold harmless, protect, defend and indemnify the California Association of Food Banks against any claim, demand, suit, action, prosecutions of any claim of unlawfulness, invasion of privacy, or copyright infringement that may be &nbsp;sustained in a court of competent jurisdiction and any related costs, losses or damages. You have read and understood this consent and release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"presenter\">Speaker \/ Presenter \/ Exhibitor License &amp; Acknowledgments<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>By participating at Food ACCESS 2026 and\/or its affiliated events, as a panelist, presenter, speaker or exhibitor, or by sharing comments or information as an attendee, you grant to California Association of Food Banks an unlimited, perpetual, non-exclusive license and right to use, reuse, reproduce, publish, modify, and distribute any presentation or session materials (including &nbsp;related comments, handouts, references, PowerPoint presentations or other materials (the \u201cMaterials\u201d) for any and all purposes and otherwise agree as follows. &nbsp;You authorize California Association of Food Banks to use your name, likeness, photograph, and biographical data in connection with the use and promotion of Food ACCESS 2026 and the marketing, publications, advertising, and services of California Association of Food Banks. In addition, you represent and warrant that the Materials do not interfere with any proprietary right of another party and that you have the authority to grant these usage rights to California Association of Food Banks. We kindly ask that if you republish the Materials you include reference and attribution to California Association of Food Banks and Food ACCESS 2026. You acknowledge that you understand that the purpose of Food ACCESS 2026, and of the related Materials and presentations, is to provide information and education.&nbsp; Accordingly, except as expressly authorized by California Association of Food Banks, the selling or promoting of goods or services of any kind and the exchange of funds or invoices are strictly prohibited at Food ACCESS 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Data Privacy <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Personal data collected will be handled in accordance with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cafoodbanks.org\/es\/privacy-policy\/\">CAFB&#8217;s Privacy Policy<\/a>. By registering, you consent to such use. CAFB will not sell personal information to third parties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Governing Law &amp; Dispute Resolution<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These Terms are governed by California law (without regard to conflict rules). Any dispute not resolved informally will be submitted, at CAFB&#8217;s election, to binding arbitration under the JAMS Streamlined Rules in San Francisco, CA.
