The House bill contains over $20 billion in cuts to SNAP benefits and eligibility over 10 years and threatens to take food off of the table for many of California\u2019s most vulnerable populations including:<\/p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbpp.org\/research\/food-assistance\/house-farm-bills-snap-cuts-work-requirements-would-hurt-women?utm_source=SNAP+Updates+%28Advocates%29&amp;utm_campaign=7e43792755-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_05_01&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=0_a9a2e4807f-7e43792755-111134097\">low-income women<\/a><\/li>\r\n\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbpp.org\/research\/food-assistance\/house-farm-bills-snap-cuts-work-requirements-would-hurt-children?utm_source=SNAP+Updates+%28Advocates%29&amp;utm_campaign=7e43792755-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_05_01&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=0_a9a2e4807f-7e43792755-111134097\">children<\/a><\/li>\r\n\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbpp.org\/snap-helps-low-wage-workers-in-every-state#California\">low-wage workers<\/a><\/li>\r\n\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbpp.org\/research\/food-assistance\/house-farm-bills-snap-cuts-work-requirements-would-hurt-people-with?utm_source=SNAP+Updates+%28Advocates%29&amp;utm_campaign=7e43792755-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_05_01&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=0_a9a2e4807f-7e43792755-111134097\">individuals with disabilities<\/a> &nbsp;<\/li>\r\n\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aarp.org\/content\/dam\/aarp\/politics\/advocacy\/2018\/04\/aarp-house-response-letter-hr2-04-17-18.pdf\">older adults<\/a><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"rteindent1\">&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Further, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ers.usda.gov\/topics\/food-nutrition-assistance\/supplemental-nutrition-assistance-program-snap\/economic-linkages\/\">every billion in SNAP benefits creates at least 10,000 jobs &amp;
