The California DMV is distributing specialty license plates to support the California Association of Food Banks and its members. The license plate, available now at www.CaliforniaImagine.com<\/a>, features the iconic self-portrait image of John Lennon and the slogan, \u201cIMAGINE no hunger.\u201d <\/p>\n

The initial plate is free but subject to annual renewal fees. Proceeds from sales will be administered by the California Department of Social Services and distributed to CAFB to be utilized by food banks for their hunger-relief programs.<\/p>\n

A special note of gratitude goes to Yoko Ono Lennon who has kindly authorized the use of the John Lennon self-portrait image to help the California Association of Food Banks in its ongoing fight to end hunger in California.<\/p>\n

Ono said,”Imagine is a great word to spread around and I was happy to do this because it is helping a very important charity.”<\/p>\n
