The Farm Bill is reauthorized approximately every five years and sets food and agricultural policy that provides a safety net for our country\u2019s agricultural producers and helps our low-income communities put food on the table. With the 2018 Farm Bill set to expire on September 30, 2023, discussions about the Farm Bill are taking place in D.C. and across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CAFB, Central California Food Bank, Fresno State University, and California Fresh Fruit Association spoke on improvements and recommendations for the Nutrition title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some highlights from the event:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"quote-block image-left align\">\r\n    <div class=\"quote-block-inner\">\r\n        <div class=\"text\">\r\n            <div class=\"quote\">\r\n                <div class=\"content\">\r\n                    24% of people in California\u2019s 16th district are on SNAP\u2026Fresno is considered the third hungriest city in America. SNAP benefits need to be made adequate, not cut or restricted\u2026why do we have special rules blocking access to our neighbors in need?
