Member Mondays are back! This week, we are thrilled to highlight the work of \u5c24\u5df4\u8428\u7279\u98df\u54c1\u94f6\u884c<\/strong><\/a>. Yuba-Sutter Food Bank is located in Yuba City, California, and has been serving their community for the past 40 years. Here are some exciting things they have been working on!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Update of Facilities & New Truck<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The Yuba-Sutter Food Bank had an action-packed 2023 and they are looking forward to a busy and successful 2024. Last year, Yuba-Sutter Food Bank made some impactful and positive changes, including a much-needed update to their facilities and a new truck to aid in their Food Recovery program.<\/p>\n<\/div>

No Empty Bowls <\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Yuba-Sutter Food Bank recently held their annual fundraiser, \u201cAn Evening at the Food Bank: No Empty Bowls,\u201d which featured handmade bowls from Yuba City High School ceramics students. The event highlighted Yuba-Sutter’s wonderful volunteers and staff, and they exceeded their fundraising goals because of the generosity of their community.<\/p>\n\n\n

Farms Together Program <\/h5>\n\n\n\n

“Being a CAFB member, we are excited for the opportunity to participate in the Farms Together<\/em> program, which aims to bring fresh and nutrient-rich local produce to those in need, while also supporting small local farms that are often BIPOC or women-owned. We have been able to see the benefits of this amazing program in just a few short weeks already, and being able to distribute fresh local produce has been a joy!”<\/p>\n– Abi Smith

As Yuba-Sutter Food Bank looks forward to all that 2024 has in store for them, they know that none of it would be possible without the constant support they receive from their donors, volunteers, and community partners.
