Despite its success, CalFood is at risk of experiencing a significant funding drop. If funding is decreased from $62 million to just $8 million annually, food banks across the state won\u2019t be able to meet the increasing demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThis drop in funding would affect every link in the chain, from the farmers who produce the food, to the food banks that distribute it, to the families who depend on it. The result is fewer fresh vegetables, fewer staples and fewer meals served.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
