CAFB Executive Director Sue Sigler was recently named to the board of directors for the California Association of Nonprofits (CalNonprofits), a statewide membership organization that brings nonprofits together to advocate for the communities they serve.
CalNonprofits aims to:
Speak with the voice of California nonprofits to the legislature, government agencies, philanthropy, and the public.
Work with legislators and nonprofit coalitions to develop legislation that will allow nonprofits to bring their full power to serving their communities.
Bring nonprofits together to discuss and debate issues, to think through the implications of government and philanthropic actions, and to build support networks
Nearly 10,000 California nonprofits are members of CalNonprofits. The organization is led by a volunteer Junta Directiva representing a diversity of geography, organizational types and fields, and personal backgrounds.
Congratulations, Sue!
