Melanie joined CAFB in 2023 to bolster external communication and build relationships with the media, donors and partner organizations. She comes from working in permanent supportive housing in San Francisco and brings an extensive background in communications, fund development, and event management. It was fundraising for nutritious and culturally relevant meals for supportive housing residents in the pandemic that sparked her interest in confronting hunger at the state level as a part of the CAFB team.
A Massachusetts native, Melanie received her B.B.A in Marketing and minor in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Fun fact? She made a 3 second appearance in the movie Central Intelligence, so considers The Rock an old colleague.
Favorite food? Grilled salmon.
