Congratulations to Nicole Suydam, CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County on her Women of the Year Award presented by the Orange County Business Journal. Nicole was honored for her Bold Goal Strategic Plan to end hunger in Orange County by 2025, and launching two first-of-their-kind Permanent School Pantry programs in a ceremony earlier this month. Under her leadership, both food donations and meals served to the community and have increased significantly. This past year, a record 21.6 million meals were distributed. Second Harvest Food Bank of OC and Nicole are striving to distribute more fresh and nutritious food to their community by using School and Mobile pantries as they work to realize their Bold Goal.
