If you’re looking for ways to enhance your grounds and walkways to be more family-friendly, consider decorating with paint or spray-chalk using free stencils available from your Local Health Department. Each kit contains more than 125 individual stencils, which can be divided into sets such as paths, hopscotch, shapes, numbers, letters, footprints, action words, fruits, vegetables, and a MyPlate stencil.
These stencils can help you provide engaging options for youth to channel their energy while they wait and can also educate and reinforce healthy eating messages.
For more information, including photos and How To Guides, visit the California Department of Public Health Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention Branch website or call 916.449.5370 to identify the stencil contact near you.
