Opening New Doors to Ending Hunger

This report documents how food banks, community organizations, and county agencies in California are working together to improve access and increase enrollment in the Food Stamp Program by offering clients more alternatives and assistance in the application process.

This report represents the joint effort of the Congressional Hunger Center and the California Association of Food Banks. This project was funded by the USDA’s Food Stamp Program through the California Department of Social Services’ Food Stamp Outreach and Access Plan administered by the California Department of Public Health’s Network for a Healthy California.
