Disaster CalFresh applications will be accepted December 12-14 AND December 17-20. The Disaster CalFresh flyer and press release are currently under review and expected to be available next week in English, Spanish, and Hmong languages.
The Timely Reporting Waiver will allow households in these affected counties to make a request for replacement of CalFresh benefits through December 10, 2018. These replacement CalFresh benefits will allow households to replace food lost due to power outages and evacuations resulting from the Camp and Woolsey Fires.
Hot Foods Waiver has been approved for the following locations:
The Hot Foods Waiver will allow hot foods to be purchased at CalFresh authorized retailers has been approved through December 17, 2018. Please be aware that retailers may need as much as 24-36 hours to make changes that will allow for sale of hot foods. Please set appropriate expectations when messaging hot foods availability to CalFresh participants. As a reminder, CDSS will post these and other materials about the disaster on their D-CalFresh website.
