Exploring the Underlying Causes of Hunger
In this inaugural virtual event, we discussed the challenges for people experiencing food insecurity and how hunger and poverty has been perpetuated. We examined the barriers to accessing food and enabling food security and the work being done to address these issues. This is a one-hour moderated panel discussion followed by a 15-minute Q&A.

Hunger in California—What We Know, What We Need to Know, and What’s Next
The CAFB team presented recent data on food bank demand, discuss economic factors related to food security, explore what the data tells us (and doesn’t tell us) about the need in our communities, and learn how recent policy decisions at the state and federal levels will impact the need for food assistance in California.
