Our Food Bank Network is Here to Help — Find Food and Resources
We have some good news to share with you. In yesterday’s preliminary budget release, Governor Brown earmarked $8 million for CalFood! While $8 million does not reflect our entire ask, it is eons above what the budget included for CalFood in the past. We were prepared to receive the $6 million in ongoing support that was promised in last year’s budget. While the CalFood amount is an accomplishment to celebrate, we won’t rest on our laurels. With your help, we will continue to advocate for our entire $17.5 million request.
We still have a couple more bites at the budget apple and we will keep sending policy updates on our progress and tools to help your food bank advocate for CalFood.
