Stepping Back as We Move Forward: Here’s What We Value
December 20, 2021
We do not offer food. Here’s where you can find food.
As the year draws to a close, our food banks are still meeting double the demand for food. Here at California Association of Food Banks, we continue to find new ways to support them so they can do what they do best: feed our communities. We also continue working to enact anti-hunger policies and programs to stop hunger in the first place.
This was another unprecedented year, and through it we were able to secure historic anti-hunger victories for our food banks and our community — including school meals for all California kids! As we prepare for the work ahead, we want to step back and take a minute to share with you our values.
These values, established this year by our staff, are being used to inform our strategy as we prepare for 2022 and work towards our ultimate goal of ending hunger in California.
Thank you for all you did this year to help mitigate hunger in our state. It’s going to take all of us to move California towards a hunger free future — join our anti-hunger campaign at EveryonetotheTable.org.
