Max De Faria

Max De Faria, Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellow

Max joined CAFB in 2020 as a Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellow with the Congressional Hunger Center. Their research explores COVID-19’s impacts on emergency food systems in California and offers policy recommendations to support food banks throughout this crisis. Prior to CAFB, they worked at Project Bread and Worcester County Food Bank, supporting guests applying for SNAP assistance.

Originally from Rhode Island, Max received a BA in Geography and Spanish with a minor in Political Science from Clark University. Their favorite fall/winter beverage is homemade apple cider from farm fresh apples.

Their favorite food? Tomatoes!
